Condition No-1 for RCB to qualify for playoffs – A clear weather

Condition No-2 – RCB must do this if CSK bat first?
Since CSK boast a better net run-rate than RCB, Virat Kohli‘s team need to meet certain conditions in order to qualify for the playoffs.
If CSK bat first, then RCB must chase the target down with 11 deliveries to spare. That means, RCB has to cross CSK’s total either before 18.1 overs, or on the first ball of the 19th over. RCB will be disqualified from playoffs even if they win the match on 18.2 overs.
If RCB bat first and post a target for CSK, then they must win the match by 18-run margin. To simplify this, let’s assume, RCB score 200 runs in the first innings, then, effectively, CSK’s total would be 183 runs. Even if MS Dhoni’s team fail to win the game, but manages to score more than 182 runs, then the reigning champions will be advancing to the next round.
