LSG vs DC IPL 2024: As Lucknow Super Giants prepare to face Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Ekana Sports City in Lucknow, all eyes are on how both teams will line up for this highly anticipated clash. It’s an understatement to say that DC is under pressure, considering they are at the bottom of the IPL 2024 table, with just one win in the previous five rounds.
LSG is on a completely different trajectory at the moment, having won the last three games. They could move to the top of the IPL power rankings with a win in this match. However, one area of concern for them ahead of this game is the availability of pace sensation Mayank Yadav.

Speed sensation Mayank Yadav was forced out of LSG’s last home leg against Gujarat Titans due to an injury. The 21-year-old could bowl just one over before leaving the match at the end of the fourth over.
LSG head coach Justin Langer provided an update on Yadav’s fitness, saying that he expects the fast bowler to miss the next two games for the team-
“He felt a little bit of tightness at the top of his hip leading into the last game, but that was about a one-out-of-ten pain, and we thought that there were clinical signs,” Langer said ahead of the match against DC. “Everything through the doctors and the physios seemed perfectly okay. He bowled that first over [against Titans] and started feeling something in his hip.
“But we had an MRI scan, and there is a very, very small swelling in there. So we are very hopeful he’ll start building himself up and be back bowling again soon.”

Expects Yadav To Be Vailable Against CSK: Langer
After hosting DC, LSG will then hit the road to play Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Garden, before coming back to host reigning champions Chennai Super Kings.
Langer admitted that the team management expects Mayank Yadav to be fit by the time CSK play at Ekana Sports City on Friday, April 19.
“That’s the plan [to have Mayank Yadav available for the home match against CSK on April 19].
“We want him to play every game if possible,” Langer said. “But he’ll be working towards it; he’s working very hard every day to be ready for whatever our next game is. He won’t play tomorrow; it’s unlikely, with the very short turnaround, it’s unlikely that he plays these two games. But he’s certainly working towards playing whenever he possibly can.”
