IND vs BAN 3rd T20I: The third and final T20I match in the ongoing India vs Bangladesh series was labeled as a dead rubber, with Team India already having sealed the series after winning the first two games. It was assumed that India might go easy on the visitors, who have largely underperformed throughout the series. But for Indian cricket fans and their team, no game is ever a dead rubber. Their passion and emotions transcend such trivialities. For them, every game is significant, and the next game always holds more weight. The players reflect these sentiments, consistently giving their all in every match.
That’s exactly what unfolded in Hyderabad. If there was any doubt about how India might approach this game, it was quickly dispelled once Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson took control of the proceedings.
Sanju Samson Hits Five Straight Sixes in IND vs BAN 3rd T20I
It has been absolute carnage in Hyderabad, spiraling into one of those days where batsmen seem to pick up every thread of the ball, seeing it as if it’s a football out there. Sanju Samson, in particular, is putting on a show at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The kind of hitting we’re witnessing is nothing short of spectacular.
The 29-year-old scored his first 37 runs off 19 balls but then smashed 4, 4, and a 6 off Rishad Hossain’s first three deliveries to reach his fifty in just 22 balls. Rishad conceded 16 runs in his first over, and when he was handed the 10th over, something special unfolded. He started with a dot ball, a rare piece of gold dust, but Samson then smashed five consecutive sixes, plundering 30 runs from the over.
Samson eventually reached a magnificent hundred, hitting the milestone off just 40 balls—his first international T20 century.
Hyderabad jumps in joy to celebrate the centurion! 🥳
