Mukesh Kumar Replaces Ishant Sharma
The other change in DC Playing 11 was Mukesh Kumar who came into the XI in place of fast bowler Ishant Sharma. The veteran looked rather rusty in the match against Punjab and was given only two overs in which he gave away 16 runs.
As for Mukesh, this will be the 2nd season for him in IPL. The 30-year-old played 10 games during the course of IPL 2023, and took 7 wickets at an average of 46.57.

Before the match, Delhi Capitals were a clear underdog against Rajasthan Royals. But the away team started brilliantly with Mukesh Kumar sending the dangerous Yashasvi Jaiswal back to pavilion in the 2nd over.
