During an exclusive interview given to Times Of India, Yadav revealed that he doesn’t focus on speed only.
It is natural in me. I polished my bowling in the last few years but I can generate pace with ease. I don’t have to work much to generate pace.
Who Is Mayank Yadav?
The 21-year-old belongs to Delhi and started his cricket journey with Sonnet Cricket Club which is renowned for producing world class players such as Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant.
He made his List A debut in 2021 and attracted attention from various parts of India due to his exceptional pace. He attended trials with IPL franchises such as Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils, and it was anticipated that one of these teams would bid for him during the IPL 2022 auction. However, it was Lucknow Super Giants who eventually signed him for his base price of INR 20 lakhs. This proved to be a bargain deal, considering that Yadav’s value has since skyrocketed.
