Imad became the only bowler to pick a five-wicket haul in the final of Pakistan Super League. That performance could force the Pakistan Cricket national to reconsider him when they name the squad for the T20 World Cup which is schedule to take place in the West Indies and USA in June this year. It must be noted that Imad was overlooked for the 50-over World Cup in India.
Other Instances When Players Were Caught Smoking
Imad Wasim is not the only player who was caught smoking. During the ODI World Cup, Australia’s superstar all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was also caught smoking an e-cigarettes in the dressing room. Back in 2022, Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter was also seen smoking and was reprimanded by match officials.
PAK vs NZ T20I Series
Pakistan Cricket team will be in action in April when they host New Zealand in the five-match T20I series. Babar Azam and Co will then travel to England to play in four more T20 matches. It’s important to note that these two series will provide the Pakistan team with an ample practice to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Indian team players, on the other hand, will go straight to the World Cup after the IPL.
