IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Banglore captain Fa du Plessis won the toss and elected to field first in the match against Punjab Kings. RCB are at home in this game and will be hoping to return to winning ways after suffering the defeat in the opening game against Chennai Super Kings.
Punjab Kings meanwhile will hope clock back-to-back wins following a four-wicket win over Delhi Capital in the opening game.
Why Arshdeep Singh Is Not Named In RCB vs PBKS In IPL 2024 Match?
Punjab Kings revealed their Playing XI after the toss and there was a big surprise as the name of Arshdeep Singh was missing from the 11. But not naming Arshdeep in PBKS Playing XI is totally a tactical decision rather than omitting him entirely. Because RCB asked PBKS to bat first and the visitors will require more batsmen in the first innings.
In the first match against Delhi Capitals, Prabhsimrah Singh replaced Arshdeep Singh in the playing 11, with the former coming on as an impact player in the 2nd innings. That’s likely to happen here as well. Arshdeep should be used in the 2nd innings as an impact player, and should replace Prabhsimran Singh.
