SRH vs MI IPL 2024: The clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians was supposed to be a close affair. In fact, the pre-match odds, including the Google win predictor, were indicating a win for the away side. But the game of cricket is anything but a guessing game. And it surprises you the most when you are least expecting that nothing can go out of ordinary today.
SRH vs MI IPL 2024: Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma Too Hot To Handle
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first on a pitch that had support for both batsmen and bowlers. Mayank Agarwal and Travis Head opened the innings for the home team, and the latter took off right from the off. By the end of 4th over, SRH were 45/0 with Head scoring 32 of those runs off just 12 balls.
Surprisingly Mayank was struggling and departed after scoring only 11 runs off 13 balls. But MI never expected what was unfolding in front of them.
Then arrived Abhishek Sharma to the crease. The young Indian batsman was about to play his best cricket yet.
In the 7th over, Abhishek brought the carnage onto the Mumbai Indians bowler Piyush Chawla, whom he hit for 3 massive sixes, and took 21 runs from that over.
In the 8th, 9th and 10th and 11th over, SRH scored 15, 11, 20, 13 and 12 runs respectively. Bumrah was the only bowler who didn’t concede a boundary in two overs. Rest of MI bowlers were given an absolute hiding in plain sight.
