Hardik’s stellar contribution in T20 World Cup
India became the first team in T20 World Cup history to finish the campaign undefeated, winning eight out of nine matches, with one game ending in a complete washout.
Hardik Pandya was one of the standout players for Team India during the T20 World Cup. The Mumbai Indians captain took 11 wickets and scored 144 runs for the Men in Blue. His best performance came in the final against South Africa, where he picked up three crucial wickets, including the prized wicket of the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen.
What’s next for Hardik Pandya?
With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announcing retirement from T20Is, Hardik Pandya is likely to be named the captain of Team India in the 20-over format. Picture will become more clear once BCCI announce the squad for India’s upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka comprising three T20Is and three ODI matches.
