Dewald Brevis was bought by Mumbai Indians during the 2022 Indian Premier League auction. MI signed the South African as a future prospect. So far he has played only 7 IPL matches. The 20-year-old was not named in MI playing 11 against GT but the five-time IPL winners brought him as an Impact Player in the 2nd innings and he didn’t disappoint. Brevis looked in great touch on every ball he played en-route to 46 runs. At 129/3 in 15.4 overs, MI looked home and in control during the chase of 168 runs.

How Mumbai Lost The Match Against Gujarat Giants?
Mumbai at one stage were cruising towards the target. But then happen that catch that changed the course of the match. Still, MI had enough deliveries left to not panic. But they did. Every batsman that came out was swinging his bat like he was saving his life.
