India A vs Pakistan A: Ramandeep Singh can be hailed as the AB de Villiers of Indian cricket. Just as the South African legend could fly while fielding, Ramandeep showcased during IPL 2024 that he too can take off like a jet plane. The young Indian batter has demonstrated that you don’t need to be labeled as an all-rounder, who can bat and bowl, to impact a match in multiple ways. While his primary skill lies in batting, he’s a live wire in the field and has the ability to win or significantly alter the course of games with his fielding alone.
Ramandeep’s outstanding catch in India A vs Pakistan A Emerging T20 Asia Cup
Irrespective of the competition or level, India vs Pakistan matches tend to go down to the wire. Few games end in one-sided affairs, and most are defined by extraordinary moments beyond the usual course of play. During the India A vs Pakistan A match in the Asian Men’s T20 Emerging Cup 2024, Ramandeep Singh produced one such moment that defied logic.
The 27-year-old, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, pulled off an incredible one-handed catch out of thin air. While fielding at deep square leg, he leapt to pluck a flying catch and dismiss the dangerous Yasir Khan.
