India's superstar batter Virat Kohli made a spiritual journey to Vrindavan to meet Premanand Ji Maharaj. He was accompanied by wife Anushka Sharma and kids Vamika and Akaay. This is not the first time Virat visited a spiritual place as the former Indian captain also went to Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in Kainchi Dham a few years ago.
Virat Kohli Seeks Blessings Ahead of Champions Trophy 2025
Virat Kohli couldn't live up-to expectations in the Border-Gavaskar series. Other than hitting one century in the first test which India won, Kohli failed to hit even a half century. In fact, the 36-year-old scored only 85 runs across seven innings, averaging a shade over 14. This is no where near the standard and the level every Indian cricket fan expect him to perform. His dwindling form was one of the reasons why India lost the BGT series 1-3 against Australia.
Now, as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 draws closer, Kohli is seeking to turn his form around for good. Watch the video that went viral across social media platforms.
Akaay makes his first public Appearance
Virat Kohli was accompanied by wife Anushka Sharma with daughter Vamika and son Akaay who was seen in the public for the first time. Since becoming mother, Anushka has taken the path of spirituality seriously, with Kohli also treading on the same spiritual path. He visited Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in Kainchi Dham a few years ago, just before the ICC T20I World Cup 2022. Anushka had the conversation with Guru ji:
“Last time we came, I had some questions in my mind. I thought I would ask something but everyone sitting there had asked you something like that. It’s like I was speaking with you within our own heads. The next day I would open Ekantik Vartalap (Premanand’s spiritual talks streamed online) and someone or the other would be asking the same question.”
